Think you know your protagonist?  How about your antagonist? Have you put them through some really tough therapy?  In this workshop, participants will put on the SHRINK hat and dig deeper into their characters’ psyches, or just create new multi-faceted characters to make fiction sparkle with life.

NOTE:  Nonmembers who register for this workshop will receive a one-year complimentary membership in the Guild.

Bio: Reina Lisa Menasche’s fiction crosses genres and is honored by organizations such as the San Diego Writers and Editors Guild, the San Diego Book and Writing Awards, and the Southern California Writers Conference. Her new paranormal romantic suspense, The Spirit of Shy Moon Lake (2021), has been likened to Stephen King’s Bag of Bones. Her first psychologically themed romance Twice Begun, and her second, Silent Bird, were finalists in the 2012 and 2013 San Diego Book and Writing Awards. Her upcoming children’s picture book, The House That Sneezed, will be released 2023.

Also, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Reina teaches workshops on character development at the Southern California Writers’ Conferences in San Diego and Irvine. In addition, Reina has volunteered to host the BOOKSHELF radio show for East County Magazine on KNSJ FM, highlighting “local literary luminaries and some great books to read.” She has also served on the East County Magazine board.

Moving forward, Reina serves on the board of the San Diego Writers and Editors Guild. Her goal is to give back to the local writing community and add events and interactive activities for writers and authors at all levels.
