Join our Author Marketing Support Group via Zoom on Wednesday, April 24 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. PT.

We'll discuss strategies and tactics to help you promote your book and meet your goals. If you just published a book or are publishing one soon, we'd love to hear that, too. The meeting will be led by Penny Paugh, who has 20-plus years of marketing experience, and Nico Waters, who has self-published and promoted eight books.

Thanks for registering and we are looking forward to seeing you!

THE WRITER I WANT TO BE

Being the writer I want to be can mean anything from winning a Pulitzer to exploring my own ideas and writing what excites me. In four games that allow us to play with our serious goals  (listed below), we’ll each discover what we want most—and our crucial strengths and talents.

    • Primal Me
    • My Comfort Zone
    • Fulfillment for Me
    • What's My Style?

Harmon Writing Games are non-competitive solo games like Solitaire and Wordle that we win simply by playing. But we do share our answers when we want to. Game sheets will be handed out. Please bring a clipboard, notebook, or wide knees to write against in case there aren’t enough tables for us.

    BIO

Margaret Harmon loves exploring how life really works—then writing fiction about it. She’s the author-illustrator of The Man Who Learned to Walk in Shoes That Pinch: Contemporary Fables by Margaret Harmon, A Field Guide to North American Birders: A Parody, The Genie Who Had Wishes of His Own: 21st-Century Fables, and Mr. Helpless Gets Organized. Her fables are taught in college literature and oral interpretation classes and air on National Public Radio. Fun fact: her fables are currently being told in English to Ukrainian high-tech workers who practice their English by hearing and discussing stories.

    Important NOTE

This is an in-person event. The Serra Mesa-Kearny Mesa Library address is 9005 Aero Dr, San Diego, CA 92123.

Registration for this event closes on Sunday, May 12, to allow preparation ahead of the meeting. Don’t delay.
